TERMS & CONDITIONS

    1. Eligibility Criteria: Open to any person without nationality restrictions.
    2. Registrations will be accepted only through our website: www.aigt.com.au. The name in full, date of birth, contact number, email, address, events participating, etc. should be registered latest by Closing Date of Registration published on the website and social media.
    3. The information you provide will be used for this competition and promotion of the AIGT and will not be shared with any other party outside.
    4. The organizers have the right to verify the validity of entries whenever necessary. All participants are required to have a verification document (like Passport, Residence Permit etc.) with them as proof of their date of birth. This document will have to be shown at the registration desk if requested. The responsibility to provide the proof rests solely with the participants and their parents/guardians.
    5. The Organizers reserves the right to disqualify a participant if he or she has provided false personal data.
    6. All participants will receive a confirmation of their registration details via email. If any participant has not received confirmation, they are requested to contact the Registration Officer directly over telephone, not later than one week after the closing of Registration.
    7. Registration fee will be charged fully for any cancellations from the side of the participant after the registration closing date.
    8. Competition in an event will be conducted only if there is a minimum of 3 valid entries, as on the last date of registration, for the event. In case of insufficient number of participants in a particular group for an event, the committee has the authority to cancel that event.
    9. If any event has not received the minimum number of registrations, that event will be cancelled and the respective participants will be informed via email not later than one week after the closing date of Registration.
    10. If the minimum entry requirement is not met in any of the registered events, the Registration Convener will personally contact the participants via email within three days after the official closing of the registration to inform the cancellation of that category event.In such case the Registration fees charged will be refunded in full.
    11. For group items, if required the lower age limit will be waived enabling them to contest with the Senior group. Having said that Seniors are not allowed to compete in Junior events..
    12. The program coordinator can permit a participant to be part of two competing groups in the same category in certain circumstances.
    13. All events are common for male and female participants. Group events may be performed jointly or separately among males and females.
    14. For Group dance event, both Cinematic and Classical/Semi-Classical, a minimum of three participants and a maximum of fifteen participants will be allowed.
    15. For Classical Dance Competition, Medley (a collection of songs) is not allowed.
    16. For Cinematic Dance Competition, medley songs are allowed.
    17. For Bhangra Dance Competition, medley songs are allowed.

    19. The stage arrangement is the sole responsibility of the participants. A maximum of 1 minute shall be allowed in total to set up and clear out the settings and Props used. It is expected that all the materials brought to the stage are cleared and taken away from the AIGT premises. It is advised to contact the stage manager in advance in order to get any clarification in this regard
    20. Stage performances for all competition events have to be strictly done by participants holding chest numbers. Any interfering support from others is not permitted.
    21. Participants may also be disqualified if found to be disrespectful which includes, but is not limited to, acts or conducts such as using profane or inappropriate language or gestures, and baiting or taunting an opponent which is intended to demean others on the basis of race, religion, gender, etc.
    22. A strict time schedule shall be maintained throughout the AIGT. Performers should report at the Venue Registration counter 1 hour before the Finale program starts and report at the back stage to the stage manager 20 minutes before their scheduled stage appearance. Performers who fail to meet this requirement will run the risk of not getting a chance to perform their event on the stage.
    23. Karaoke music, track music, Song etc., for the finals as per rules wherever applicable, should be send in MP3 format to the email aigt@snmm.org.au attention Program Coordinator at least one week before the event on stage, with Program, category and GroupName. allotted as the file name.i.e the file name should be Program_Category_GroupName(E.g. cinematic_senior_12356.mp3)
    24. Organizers will not be responsible for any malfunctioning of the MP3 file send by the contestant. It is advised to have a backup of the Karaoke Music, Track, Song etc. for finals with Program, category, Group Name clearly marked on a CD/USB stick (only one track per storage medium) to avoid delays and disruption.
    25. If a tie occurs between two or more participants in any competition event for Finals, a tie breaker round will be held and a winner will be declared.
    26. Judgment shall be based on pre-defined criteria for all events. Criteria will be published on the AIGT Website and will be provided to the jury. The verdict of the jury will be final and unquestionable.
    27. Any queries regarding the judgment during the entire AIGT event should be placed to the Judgment Committee Convener. Participants or their parents/guardians are not allowed to contact any jury member regarding judgment issues. Any queries regarding the judgment will be reviewed and responded within 48 hours by the Judgment Committee Convener.
    28. Instructor's/Choreographer’s fees, costume and preparation costs, rehearsal venue hire cost and/or transportation to competition venues are participants' responsibility.
    29. Interstate participants will have to be arranged by their own food, accommodation and travel. AIGT Committee shall assist them in finding hotels, in worst case scenario if contacted.
    30. Participants under 18 are required to obtain parental/guardian's consent and complete the relevant Participation-cum-Consent to Disclaimer Forms.
    31. No Alcohol/Drugs allowed in the Event Premises by contestants and guests.
    32. By entering this Contest, You understand and agree that AIGT or anyone acting on behalf of AIGT, and Sree Narayana MissionInc’s licensees, successors, and assigns, shall have the right, where permitted by law, to print, publish, broadcast, distribute, and use in any media now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity and throughout the World, without limitation, your entry, name, portrait, picture, voice, likeness, image, videos, statements about the Campaign, and biographical information for news, publicity, information, trade, advertising, public relations, and promotional purposes. Without any further compensation, notice, review, or consent.
    33. By entering this contest, you represent and warrant that your entry does not violate any third party’s proprietary or intellectual property rights. If your entry infringes upon the intellectual property right of another, you will be disqualified at the sole discretion of AIGT. If the content of your entry is claimed to constitute infringement of any proprietary or intellectual proprietary rights of any third party, you shall, at your sole expense, defend or settle against such claims. You shall indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AIGT / Sree Narayana Mission Inc from and against any suit, proceeding, claims, liability, loss, damage, costs or expense, which AIGT/SreeNarayana Mission Inc may incur, suffer, or be required to pay arising out of such infringement or suspected infringement of any third party’s right.
    34. AIGT Program Committee reserves the right to modify or substitute any of these Terms & Conditions of the Competition from time to time.
    35. Any update on the Competition rules will be only notified on the AIGT website.
    36. AIGT reserves the right to change Venue, vary timings and Voting period if necessary.
    37. All approved Entries considered for initial audition will be posted on the AIGT Facebook & Instagram Page and will be subject to voting during the Voting Period
    38. AIGT’s decision in relation to all matters affecting the voting listed below is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
    39. (1) The votes each Performance receives are subject to verification by AIGT Administrators, and must meet all eligibility requirements before confirmed as a winner of the prize.

      (2) No weightage will be given to the Dislikes to any performance on selecting a winner.

      (3) AIGT and its authorized contractors, reserve the right to verify the validity of all votes and to disqualify any performance that AIGT determines has tampered with the voting process or in the opinion of AIGT engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct, a conduct damaging to the goodwill, integrity or reputation of the AIGT Awards or AIGT.

      (4) If for any reason this voting process is not capable of running as planned, including due to tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any causes beyond the control of AIGT, which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of the voting process, then AIGT reserves the right in its sole discretion to take any action that may be available and/or to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the voting process.

      (5) If for any reason, the voting process is interrupted in any way, or for any other reason that AIGT determines in its sole discretion to be reasonably necessary, AIGT reserves the right to select the winner of the AIGT MOST POPULAR PERFORMANCE AWARD, taking into consideration the number of votes received by each nominee up until the time of the interruption or cancelation of the voting process.

      (6) AIGT and its associated agencies, members and sponsors, will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the voting process except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

      (7) AIGT reserve the right to collect personal information about the voter for the purposes of conducting this public voting process, if required, as a security feature to minimize voter fraud.

      (8) AIGT reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.

    40. No results, other than what is required for the competition to progress to the Grand Finale, will be released to the public, until the award ceremony on the Finale Day.
    41. These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria.
    42. AIGT is Sree Narayan Mission Melbourne Inc. (Reg No. A0100221H).
    43. By signing the Participation-cum-Consent to Disclaimer Forms, the parents and participants agree to the Terms and Conditions contained herein.

    Annexure: 1

    Classical Group Dance
    Time: Audition (online) 2 minutes max. Duration
    Finals 8 minutes max. Duration (incl. stage setting and clearance)

    In this Group Dance event, one can perform any Indian classical dance forms like Bharatanatyam, Kathakali, Mohiniyattam, Kuchipudhi, Odissi, Kathak, Manipuri and Sattriya in its pure form.

    Indian classical dance or Shastriya Nritya, The dance whose theory, training, means and rationale for expressive practice is documented and traceable to ancient classical texts, particularly the Natya Shastra and recognized by Sangeet Natak Academy of India.

    Each Indian classical dance form encompasses some set of rules and the performers are required to stick to them. All participants must have full traditional performance costumes & Jewelry pertaining to the classical form the participating team follows.

    Music should be traditional. No Remix or Fusion allowed.

    Special Remarks:

    • This competition event is common for male and female participant’s i.e this dance may be performed jointly or separately among males and females.
    • A minimum of three participants and a maximum of twelve participants will be allowed.

    Judgment Criteria

    1Nritta (The Rhythmic Element)Abstract dance movements with rhythm, but without expression of a theme or emotion. Also called pure dance.20
    2Nritya( The Expressional Element)Interpretive dance, using facial expressions, hand gestures, and body movements to portray emotions and express themes.20
    3Natya(The Dramatic Element)Natya is achieving a story through speech, music, Nritta and Nritya. The dancers take on the roles of characters and perform a dramatic story through music and dance.20
    4Angasuddhi, Mudras and AdavuA combination of good posture, balance, centering symmetry and the geometric correctness gives 'Angasuddhi Hand/finger gestures (Mudras) are a prominent part of the dancer's vocabulary. An Adavu is the combination of: Position of the legs (Sthanakam), Posture of the standing (Mandalam), Walking movement (Chari), Hand gestures (nrittahastas). All the four done in synchronization with Rhythm or Tala is ADAVU.20
    5Music, *Aharya(Costume, Makeup and Jewelry) &*Stage UtilizationMusic: Traditional style, that has been specialized for the classical form has to be used.
    For Example :Bharatanatyam music has to be traditional accompanied by the Mridangam, Nadaswaram, Nattuvangam (cymbals), Flute,Violin and Veena

    No Remix or Fusion allowed.

    Aharya: All participants must have full traditional performance costumes & Jewelry

    Cinematic Group Dance
    Time: Audition (online) 2 minutes max. Duration
    Finals 8 minutes max. Duration (incl. stage setting and clearance)

    This most popular form of group dance which does not have any rules and rigors. It can follow Indian folk dance steps, western and contemporary moves, Bollywood steps and can certainly have Indian classical dance elements too. The Song/Music can be with or without lyrics and can be from any Indian Film/Band/Album.

    Special Remarks:

    • This competition event is common for male and female participants i.e this dance may be performed jointly or separately among males and females.
    • A minimum of Three participants and a maximum of Fifteen participants will be allowed.
    • Can use Medley (a collection of songs).

    The competition will be done in the following two groups
    Juniors: under Age 15 years
    Seniors: Age 15 years and above.

    Special Remarks:

    • This competition event is common for male and female participant’s i.e this dance may be performed jointly or separately among males and females..
    • A minimum of Three participants and a maximum of Fifteen participants will be allowed.
    • Can use Medley (a collection of songs).

    AIGT Most Popular Performance Award

    This is an award given to the performance on AIGT Facebook & Instagram page which is most popular. This award will be purely based on number of likes a performance gets in AIGT Facebook & Instagram page, i.e. the video with the highest number of likes will be “AIGT MOST POPULAR PERFORMANCE.

    All approved Entries considered for initial audition will be posted on the AIGT Facebook & Instagram Page and will be subject to voting during the Voting Period which begins at 12:00 am AEDT(UTC/GMT +11 hours) on November 2, 2023 and ends at 11:59 pm on November 23, 2023.

    Total Votes at the time of voting period conclusion will be preserved by AIGT in its database. AIGT accepts no responsibility for any late or misdirected votes due to technical disruptions, network congestion or for any other reason.

    Submitting a vote in Facebook & Instagram by hitting like button is deemed acceptance of the Voting Terms and Conditions listed in our website.

    8. How Will The Aigt Most Popular Performance Award Winner Be Determined?

    • AIGT calculate the total number of valid votes submitted during the relevant Voting Period for each of the nominees. The entry (video uploaded on AIGT FB Page) with the most valid votes (calculated following the conclusion of the Voting Period), as determined by AIGT, will be declared the winner of the AIGT MOST POPULAR PERFORMANCE award.
    • AIGT’s determination is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
